Peter Singer: The Why And How Of Altruism Despite his controversial reputation, Peter Singer is still acknowledged as one of the most influential individuals in the world of philanthropy. In his talk, Peter discussed how people could make a difference in society through collaboration. He talked about the various thought experiments he conducted designed to help people balance their practicality and emotion. Dan Pallotta: The Way We Think About Charity Is Dead Wrong Pallotta is best known for his work in the charitable event industry. He is the president of Advertising For Humanity, which helps philanthropists and foundations transform their grant growth potential. He discussed the various factors that contribute to the broken relationships that many organizations have with their donors. He noted that the double standard that some organizations have when it comes to rewarding them is often why they don’t spend the money they are allocated
