The real road of compassion, that is, giving, helping, assistance and community service, is a road that can be set and declared as your life's purpose
As I age, it amazes me to see how much I’ve changed from year to year. In the midst of all the hustle and bustle to get somewhere, do something, and be someone, it’s humbling to realize how much I have learned up to this point, and how little I actually know.
According to Shaun Stenning, “Each year is a chance to grow and become better people, especially if we learn to look at life as a teacher. There are lessons to be picked up from every circumstance thrown our way, whether they be good or bad. Especially the bad.” Shaun Stenning said, “I am reminded constantly of how imperfect I am and how much work I need to do on myself to be the kind of person I want to be. Each day, I struggle with uncertainties, insecurity, fear, and doubt, just like everyone else.” There are so many great lessons we all learn from life. I personally made a list with some of the most important ones so far, lessons that had a great impact on my life. You can’t trust anyone but yourself: This year, I’ve seen the worst in people. I’ve watched people go from being someone I adored and looked up to, to people I will never speak to or acknowledge again. Health is priority #1: No matter how much success, money, or fame you have, it's all useless without your health. Invest in your health. Treat your body like a temple. It's your #1 priority. Everyone has their own timeline: One of my other friends has been working a full-time job for 12 years and is still searching for his calling. And you know what? That's awesome. Because everyone has their own timeline and journey. Don't worry about what other people are doing - just focus on what's right for you. Giving back is one of the most rewarding experiences: Our time here on earth is limited. I've found that I've been lucky enough to learn a lot of great life lessons and skills and every time I've paid it forward I've found it to be one of the most rewarding experiences. So here's my final piece of advice from Shaun Stenning: Remember that it's never too late to make a difference. So go out there and make it happen!

Shaun Stenning said, “Entrepreneurs are ambitious problem solvers. In fact, they're becoming so effective at what they do, incumbent firms have no choice but to stand up and pay attention -- lest an energetic, insurgent start-up takes too big a piece of the pie.”
Making your startup successful has far more to do with what you'll figure out than what you already know. There's a brutal truth in life that some people refuse to accept--you have no control over many of the things that happen in life. There's a brutal truth in life that some people refuse to accept--you have no control over many of the things that happen in life. “A critical shift in mindset is at the heart of this success. Today's entrepreneurs are de-emphasizing experience and expertise in favor of pursuing the raw opportunity.” Shaun Stenning said. The most successful entrepreneurs set their direction based on prevailing opportunity rather than previous experience. The stuff of legend. Jeff Bezos took Amazon.com from his garage to a multi-billion dollar company. He believed "if you decide that you’re going to do only the things you know are going to work, you’re going to leave a lot of opportunity on the table." Bezos understood that past experience could be a limiting factor when it came to exploring the most relevant and valuable options for creating value. High stakes and even higher returns. Another great example of opportunity over experience comes from the privatization of the Turkish spirit, Raki. As the national drink, Raki was manufactured and sold by a state-run monopoly. Shaped by need. Entrepreneurial activity grows from an increasing desire to escape more traditional working environments. It also springs from necessity. Current economic conditions have left many without historically typical employment options. Shaun Stenning is a founding member of Living Waters Phuket. After spending 2 years purchasing, packing and delivering Life Bags Shaun Stenning and his family set up Living Waters Phuket to further there efforts in supporting the Phuket and wider Thailand Community.
But now, last April 29, 2022 they delivered there last life bag. Over 2 years and around 1,000,000 Life Bags later, this amazing project comes to an end. According to Shaun Stenning, "I feel mixed emotions. I am pleased that Life Bags are no longer needed, but a little lost as to what my path forward looks like. Each week I have anchored my life, my work and my family around packing and delivering life bags. But Phuket has reopened. The rules have eased. It’s time to adjust our strategy from “Giving A Fish” to “Teaching How To Fish.” It’s time to hand the reigns fully over to Living Waters Phuket, and the wonderful team working to help Phuket re-build." Additional to that Shaun Stenning also mention his gratefulness to all the people behind this program. But the heroic act of Shaun Stenning did not end because The Red Cross ‘Back to School’ initiative was a partnership between Shaun Stenning, Living Waters Phuket and the Red Cross. The Foundation provided equipment necessary to allow for 390 students across 13 schools in Phuket, to get back to school. Shaun Stenning was pleased to announce that as a direct result of this funding, there are now 390 students back in school from January 2022 Shaun Stenning said, "Every little thing YOU do really makes a difference!"
Read the news on any given day, and you’d think we were all soon-to-be goners from climate change. New stories and reports regularly reveal all the ways humans are trashing the planet at an unprecedented rate. Shaun Stenning said, “Becoming an environmental warrior doesn’t require a superhero-like effort. Something as simple as creating a grocery shopping list or using ceramic baking pans can make a big difference.” “In fact, a healthy lifestyle and an eco-conscious one often go hand in hand. Extra bonus: Being eco-friendly is often easier on the wallet.” Shaun Stenning says. According to Shaun Stenning “The most obvious ways to help the environment are to conserve energy and use less water. But if you put on your green thinking cap, you can come up with lots of less obvious, but no less important, earth-friendly habits.” There are several ways that you – yes, YOU- can help protect this planet we call Earth.
According to Shaun Stenning, A Serial Investor and Entrepreneur. One of the goals many of us have is to grow our wealth over time. In many cases, it’s more about the financial security and the ability to live a comfortable lifestyle, than it is about racking a huge net worth.
Regardless of your goal, adherence to these basic principles can take you a long way if you want to grow your wealth over time. Principles for Growing Wealth 1. Live Within Your Means This is the most basic of basic financial principles. It comes up over and over again. However, it bears repeating. You can’t grow your wealth if you’re constantly overspending. The ability to grow wealth depends on having assets rather than liabilities, and when you live beyond your means, all you end up with are liabilities. Shaun Stenning said. 2. Take Calculated Risks It’s much harder to build wealth when you don’t take some risks. I’m not talking about trying to pick a winning stock and using a great deal of margin to try and make it big in one fell swoop. That’s more of a fool’s risk than it is a calculated risk. 3. Spend Smart You don’t have to be a penny pincher in order to build wealth over time. It’s possible to spend a little extra sometimes and enjoy life. The trick is to spend smart. When you make purchases, make sure that you are getting true value. 4. Invest in Yourself You are your own best asset. As a result, you should be striving to improve yourself. One of the things that set the financially successful apart is that they look to be educated, rather than entertained all the time. 5. Give Back Many financial experts point out that giving is part of a well-rounded financial life. Many of those who are wealthy make it a point to give to charity and to give in other ways. For those who believe that blessings come from giving, this is just one way to be rewarded for generosity. Bottom Line "The foundation for growing wealth is a fairly simple one, but it’s not always easy to carry out your efforts. However, with a little planning, and by really thinking about your situation, it is possible to build wealth by sticking with a few simple ideas." Shaun Stenning |
