SHAUN STENNING BLOG
The real road of compassion, that is, giving, helping, assistance and community service, is a road that can be set and declared as your life's purpose
According to Shaun Stenning, During these difficult times of Covid it’s important to remember that is we are a business owner that as a business owner our business is separate from us personally. The business is one stand alone “asset” or “person” and we are another.
It’s important to remember this distinction as you don’t want to let your personal situation influence how you are making business decisions. “The reason I share this is lately I’ve seen a lot of business owners using there business assets to ask for donations and support to get through the Covid period, where in fact the donation and support they need is personal.” Shaun Stenning said. A lot of businesses are struggling during Covid, I totally understand that. But what you have to focus on is whether a post like this is actually helping your business or is it helping you? Are you posting it so you can pay salary to yourself or your partner or are posting it as the business really needs the funds to pay rent etc. In the opinion of Shaun Stenning this kind of post is not a great post anyway. Whatever happens it would have a negative impact on your business. People would wonder why your business should be donated to, why it should be supported when there are people going hungry? Please don’t let your personal desperation to either keep your business afloat or yourself afloat destroy your business during these difficult times. Understand that you are not alone, many business owners are struggling but are not sending out emails or messages to customers asking for help.
